The Accounts Payable Specialist will ensure completion of all functions for Account Payable through month end close.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participates in the daily Accounts Payable function which includes verifying invoices and matching to appropriate Purchase Orders.
Follows AP systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Collaborates with senior management to ensure monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information.
Communicates with vendors via telephone and/or email to resolve billing issues.
Works with purchasing dept to resolve issues related to invoices and/or purchase order approvals.
Compiles reports and prepares spreadsheets as required by management.
Works on special projects as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications AS400 experience preferred.
Accounts Payable experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
AA/AS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting preferred Job Type:
